Lavender Plants
Ramble leisurely through the collection observing the different lavender growth habits, leaves, flowers, colours and fragrances.
Our small property grows the largest lavender collection in Tasmania, simply for pleasure and the interest of our visitors.
We grow over seventy different species and varieties of lavender, flowering at different times of the year as influenced by the Tasmanian climate.
Autumn
Usually in autumn (February - April) you will find Lavendula Intermedia & Dentata, showing gentle soft blues and greys.
Winter
In winter (April - June) you will find Lavendula dentata, lovely clear blues and soft grey foliage.
Spring
In spring (September - November) Lavendula stoechas flowers in many vibrant colours.
Summer
In summer (late November - mid January) see the full glory of Lavendula angustifolia in blues and purples.
This is also the season also for the splendor of the angustifolia variety of true perfumery lavender. You could almost float on the fragrance of this sweet mauve lavender variety.
During January take advantage of the chance to see the Lavender Harvest and the distillation of the authentic Tasmanian Lavender Perfumery Oil
