Lavender House THE PERFUMERY manufactures toiletries and body care products at Rowella, near Launceston, in Tasmania's Tamar Valley.
Lavender House, established in 1991, (more on our history) is a Tasmanian Tourism Awards Winner and a People’s Choice Awards Winner.
Lavender House grows a small field of the true perfumery lavender to provide the key active ingredient, as pure essential oil, for the creation of THE PERFUMERY products. Visitors in January may see the lavender harvesting in progress, and the distillation of the valuable and authentic Tasmanian Lavender Oil in our custom-designed still. This fine perfumery oil is the basis of the fine Australian Aromatics produced in THE PERFUMERY.
The bright PERFUMERY building gives visitors the opportunity to observe the manufacturing and processing areas, learn more about the benefits of herbal skincare, and enjoy free sampling of an extensive range of the true lavender and aromatherapy products. These are made on site and available for sale in the gift shop.
The premium Lavender House products have retailed Australia wide since 1997.
Lavender House also grows a collection of seventy different species and varieties of lavender. These lavenders flower intermittently between September & May providing interesting photo opportunities for visitors.
Lavender House THE PERFUMERY is located at Rowella, 40 minutes (32 kilometers) from Launceston on the Tamar Valley Wine Route, close to the Batman Bridge. (Google Map).
